Due to the factory produced of a large number of 500GB hard drive early years ago. The 500GB model has been discontinued anymore. So the “ST9500325AS” style serial number has expired for long time.Â
From July 1st, 2011, Seagate’s desktop hard drive has a global warranty for one year, and China general agent is guaranteed one more year, which means total is two years  warranty. Video Surveillance hard drives for two years, enterprise hard drives for three years.Â
The external hard disk is divided into several parts of the warranty, the main disk is guaranteed for three years, the outer case is with one year warranty, and the interface is three months warranty.
